Our Investigative Approach to Headaches & Migraines
For those who have tried countless remedies for their chronic headaches or migraines without lasting success, our approach offers a logical and thorough investigation. The entire goal of our two-visit new patient process is to determine if you have a structural issue that we can help with, ensuring we only accept cases where we believe we can make a positive impact.
- Day 1: The Neuro-Structural Diagnostic Visit: Your first 75-90 minute appointment is a deep dive into your condition. No adjustments are performed. We conduct a detailed consultation, discussing your headache history, triggers, and symptoms. This is followed by a comprehensive postural and neurological exam. The cornerstone of the visit is a series of precise, specialized digital X-rays of your upper cervical spine. This imaging is essential to measure the exact alignment of your Atlas vertebra, which houses the brainstem and is critical to nervous system function and fluid dynamics.
- Day 2: Your Report of Findings & Path to Relief: During your second visit, a 60-75 minute session, we present a complete report of our findings. We will show you your X-rays and explain if a measurable misalignment exists and how it may be a contributing factor in your headache or migraine pattern. After discussing a collaborative care plan, you will receive your first gentle Atlas Orthogonal correction. This precise adjustment is designed to restore balance to the top of the spine without any popping or twisting.
- Tracking and Monitoring Your Progress: A key part of our care involves partnership. We will ask you to help us track the frequency, duration, and intensity of your head pain. This allows us to objectively monitor your body’s response to care and make any necessary refinements to your plan.
- Our Direct-Care Financial Policy: We maintain a direct relationship with our patients by operating as an out-of-network provider. Payment is due at the time of your visit, and we provide you with all the receipts and documentation needed to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider, ensuring your care is never dictated by a third party.
